For those unfamiliar, in auction drafts, each team gets a budget of hypothetical money to bid on players. The standard is a $200 budget per team. The snake draft format is replaced with a nomination order that goes from top to bottom each round. The nominator gets 20-30 seconds to select a player, and once the bidding begins, a running clock starts which determines how long the player is up for nomination....

Prior to the fan-made Half-Life 2 sequel’s forthcoming release, Seabrook began the project last year as a way for him to show his game development skills to Valve in order to possibly land a job with the studio. For this week, we tried not to overreact to the first week performances of every team. After all, one week is a very small sample size for the NFL. Still, we relied on some stats and projections for Week 2 and we should be in good position to hit in some of the weaker projected matchups. Fifty popular streamers joined together in a Rust server for a big event on December 27th. Some of the big names that joined Valkyrae included DisguisedToast, Myth, Pokimane, shroud, and Sykunno. Those who ignored the injury concerns of players like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Anthony Davis landed two of the top players in fantasy hoops through this small sample size of games. Others who took a big swing on players in new places like Donovan Mitchell and Dejounte Murray are also seeing their stars outperform their average draft position early on. And then there are the teams who are trying to recover from early season injuries to stars like Kawhi Leonard, Damian Lillard and Deandre Ayton, and that’s where the waiver wire becomes the most vital part of bridging the gap until those players return to full strength....
This mindset is not necessarily wrong. It’s understandable that you would want the best players in your team but, in Fantasy, it’s often better to prioritise value over quality. There are some players that look worth their hefty price tag, like Ronaldo’s £8.2m, but today we’re going to look at the other side of that coin. With so much money and attention being spent on superstars, many good players can be had for a relatively low cost and ownership....
