Based on the official trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, fans are already aware that the film will focus on telling the beloved character Albus Dumbledore’s origin story. To keep with the flow, the official poster for the film features the famous Harry Potter character’s Phoenix named Fawkes flying towards the iconic Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The poster for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is the perfect aid in Warner Bros.’ mission to get Harry Potter fans back to the theatres. The upcoming film promises to give fans insight into the life of one of their favorite and most legendary wizards, Dumbledore, and even a look at his companion. The poster is bound to take fans back to the Harry Potter franchise, where Fawkes played an integral role.
The bird helped Daniel Radcliffe’s Harry Potter defeat Salazar Slytherin’s basilisk in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and even assisted Dumbledore when he faced Lord Voldemort during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The bird was last seen in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince after Dumbledore’s death. It flies over the Hogwarts Castle, singing its Lament, and then leaves the premises forever.
Its appearance on the poster for the upcoming film has fans excited, as it promises a look at its life before the Harry Potter series. It is already known that it was Dumbledore’s animal companion, but perhaps the film will offer more insight into how they came together.
Jude Law is returning to reprise his role as Dumbledore for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. He will be joined by Eddie Redmayne returning as Newt Scamander, the wizard who Dumbledore entrusted in his fight against the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald. In the 2018 film Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, the role of the villainous wizard was portrayed by Johnny Depp. However, Mads Mikkelsen will be taking over the role of Grindelwald for the upcoming film.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is scheduled to premiere on April 15, 2022.
