The 24-year-old scored a splendid hattrick in a 3-1 win for his side which saw Johor qualify to the ASEAN Zone semifinals as the best second-placed team. His exploits, which included a 25-yard stunner, also meant he was chosen as Goal’s Player of the Week. 

Other candidates in the fray were Saham SC’s Mohammad Al Ghassani, who had also scored a hattrick and Hanoi FC attacking midfielder Nguyen Van Quyet, who scored a brace in his team’s 4-1 win over Felda United. 

Guerra was the outright favourite among the fans, polling 64% of the votes cast while Van Quyet and Al Ghassani accounted for 27% and 9% of the total votes respectively.
