As pointed out by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare player Michaelboy670, there appears to be a pattern with the Modern Warfare seasons. Season 1 included maps from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in the form of Crash, Shipment, and Vacant, whereas Modern Warfare Season 2 has the fan favorite MW2 map Rust.

Since Modern Warfare Season 1 had content from Call of Duty 4 and Modern Warfare Season 2 has added content from MW2, it stands to reason that Season 3 will include content from Modern Warfare 3.
Looking back at some of the things that made Modern Warfare 3 a great game, players would think that the return of fan-favorite maps such as Dome and Resistance could be likely in Season 3. Along with the potential return of maps, there is also the potential for fan-favorite weapons to return. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has already added a variety of classic Call of Duty weapons to the game, such as the Crossbow and the Striker 45.
As for which Modern Warfare 3 weapons players might see in a future Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update, perhaps the ACR assault rifle will be added, or maybe the dual-wield FMG9. However, none of this has been confirmed, and it’s possible that Modern Warfare Season 3 won’t add any content based on Modern Warfare 3 at all. Alternatively, Modern Warfare 3 content could come to Modern Warfare before Season 3 as well. Fans of the game will just have to stay tuned to find out more.
In the meantime, fans of the first-person shooter can check out the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 road map to get an idea of what is confirmed to be coming to the game in the near future.
