Apex Legends has a bevy of powerful weapons, and one of the favorites is the Wingman pistol. Although it takes a steady hand, the heavy ammo sidearm does deadly damage. It also looks quite unique, making it a gun that fanatics would be happy to have as a collectors item. With that in mind, one fan recently made their own version of the pistol.

Reddit user u/purehjeffs just uploaded an impressive post on the r/apexlegends subreddit. The fan created an accurate life-real version of the Wingman, one with lights, sounds, functionality, and even a phone charger. One must be very dedicated to Apex Legends to capture all of the intricacies of the Wingman’s design, and it appears u/purehjeffs is just that.
The incredible Wingman replica has moveable parts, giving it a very accurate feel to the Apex Legends version. By pulling the trigger, the hammer slams down, and the replica makes the firing sound from in-game. By sliding the reload button, the Wingman partially detaches, just like it does in-game. The same reload sound from Apex Legends also is played. The cylinder can even be pulled out to recreate the full reload animation.
Along with the look and sound of the gun, there is an LED light that indicates the amount of bullets still in the weapon. With each pull of the trigger, that number decreases. Once the reload animation is complete, the number resets back to 6. The final touch of the replica is that it also doubles as a phone charger, which is an ability that another stunning Wingman replica from last year had as well.
Apex Legends continues to be one of the more popular titles in all of gaming. The battle royale continues to evolve, and the fan base has grown along with it. The creativity of the game is one of its selling points, as everything from the Legends to the weapons all appear to have their own distinctiveness. It makes sense that fans would start to create replicas of the guns, just as the game also has a very strong cosplay community.
Apex Legends is available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
